What Does a Night Service Manager Do?
As a Night Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of a large Lewis-owned apartment community. Your main responsibilities include:
- Supervising the Property: Enforce rules and regulations in a positive and proactive manner.
- Monitoring Amenities: Oversee the community clubhouse, property perimeter, and other amenities.
- Parking Enforcement and Property Patrols: Ensure that the parking rules are followed and conduct regular patrols to maintain a secure environment.
- Minor Maintenance Repairs: Address minor maintenance issues promptly.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
This full-time night-hours career (8-hour shifts from 5:30 pm to 2:30 am) requires you to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
Don’t have Security Guard experience? Don’t worry! Many of our best Night Service Managers do not have that experience but have other applicable experience, such as team management, loss prevention, restaurant/retail store management, customer service management, etc.
Qualifications for Success
To thrive as a Night Service Manager, certain qualifications and skills are highly preferred:
- Background in Military, Public Safety, or Law Enforcement: Previous experience in these fields will prepare you well for the responsibilities of this role.
- Management Experience: Some form of management experience is beneficial for effectively supervising the property.
- Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations professionally is crucial.
- Self-Supervision and Independence: You must be able to work independently and self-supervise your tasks.
- Physical Fitness: The role requires walking the community, climbing stairs, and other physical activities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and guests.
- Customer Service Excellence: A customer service-first approach is key to success in this role.
- Valid CA Driver’s License: A valid California driver’s license is required.
- Background and Drug Screening: Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check upon hire.
