We recently hosted a Chamber Mixer at Independence in Dixon. With 50+ attendees including elected officials, community leaders, and business folks, any corporate feel was lightened by the warm energy of families of all ages by their side. In attendance were the Mayor, who was thrilled with what he saw, three council members and two planning commissioners (who had a hand in the original approvals), and City Manager Jim Lindley, who took a well-deserved victory lap for his role in making Independence a reality. We also had Poul Karlshoej from our Harvest partnership and Mark Salma from Rotten Robbie join us.
While the Dixon Chamber graciously hosted, the heavy lifting was done by some truly exceptional Lewis team members who deserve recognition. Laura, Suzette, and Yecenia, led by Laura, absolutely crushed it. The Harvest at Dixon team coordinated everything from public noticing with our outreach consultant (3Fold) to VIP invites, food, decorations, social media, and internal logistics. John Shores, Joe Freitas, and the New Home Company made sure the grounds and facility were picture-perfect. Trina Murtishaw and her team were the ultimate hosts, helping with logistics and leading tours that showcased our amazing new rental community. And though Brittany De Paul couldn’t be there in person, so much of what attendees saw was made possible by her tireless work along with a stellar team of consultants.
Dixonites are loyal to their community and to each other, and we’re hoping for many more events like this one.
