Madison is the Senior Portfolio Community Administrator at Lewis. She has been with the company for a little over a year now, and recently celebrated a big, well-deserved milestone with a promotion. When outside of the office, she loves to dance, listen to podcasts, cuddle with her puppy, and work on her fitness.

How do you stay busy outside of the office?

On my normal days, I usually train in the gym, spend quality time my family, and catch up on my latest favorite tv show or true-crime podcast. When I am living my best life, I’m usually at a music festival dancing like no one is watching.

How do you define success, and what drives you to achieve that?

Success to me is facing all of the adversity that the world has to offer and overcoming every obstacle to accomplish something that YOU feel proud of. I also firmly believe that success stems from consistency and perseverance, and you cannot truly succeed without these two traits. When I have moments of self-doubt, I remind myself of all of the things I’ve overcome so far, and all of the cycles I have broken to get to where I am today. I have accomplished things that I used to tell myself that I could never do. This inspires me every single day to stay on the path to continue seeing my full potential and success all the way through.

Best career advice you've received?

The best quote/lesson that has stuck with me was given to me by my beauty school teacher, “fake it until you make it.” I never understood it until she broke it down for me one day. She explained that “fake it until you make it” does not mean that you act fake whatsoever. This is something to tell yourself when you feel that self-doubt creeping in. Even on my worst days when I’m my own worst enemy, I choose to tell myself positive affirmations to remind myself of my power. I choose to fake it until I believe it myself, and this gets me through the hard days that inevitably come.
