Building Communities from the Ground Up

Over 300 residents turned out for this year’s rodeo-themed Homecoming. The event featured line dancing, rodeo games, a petting zoo, a photo booth, and a hot dog truck. About 45 minutes in, a downpour hit. What could have ended the party became one of those unplanned moments that made it memorable as residents kept dancing through the rain.

All four Homecoming “Resident Appreciation Events” events this year had rodeo themes, but each looked different. That’s intentional. Different properties have different demographics and needs. What works at one location might not resonate at another. The goal is creating an experience that fits the residents hosting it. This particular rodeo leaned into playful Western activities: sunflower seed spitting contests, lasso challenges, and nail and hammer competitions.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible vendors Mobile Zoo of Southern California, ICE Photobooth, MCJ Impressions and Jojos Grill A Dog who helped make our event so special.

Events only work when people show up, and you didn’t just show up: you made it special. Thankful for the community we’ve created at each property.

Yee Haw until next time!
