What do you do at Lewis and what does a typical day look like?
Alisha: I am the Community Director at both Esprit Townhome Apartments and Indigo Apartments in South Reno, which involves working with my amazing staff and boosting employee morale, overseeing leasing and day-to-day operations, and creating a welcoming environment for our residents.
What drew you to working at Lewis?
Alisha: I was drawn to Lewis after hearing from employees about its supportive culture and commitment to employee well-being. It’s a pleasure working with a company that values personal growth and creates a collaborative workplace.

What has your career path looked like?
Alisha: Before Lewis, I was a Community Director for FPI Management for a few years, and prior to that, I spent nine years working at an apartment community in Northwest Reno, rising from leasing agent to assistant manager, and ultimately to property manager. My career has always been about building strong communities and positive resident experiences.
How do you stay busy outside of the office?
Alisha: Music has always been a huge part of my life thanks to my parents, who are both musicians and traveled throughout my childhood, bringing me on the road with them while they lived their dream career. I play piano and sing, and I perform live on occasion, playing alongside my fiancé on guitar. We also love karaoke date nights and even bring our kids along to some of the all-ages spots whenever we can! In addition to music, I also spend a lot of time outdoors with my family and our 2 labradoodles, hiking and camping, and visiting Lake Tahoe frequently in the summer.

Any favorite moments with (hobby, interest, talent, etc.)?
Alisha: A few years back, I had the honor of receiving the Forte Award for “Best Hard Rock Band in Reno,” which was a huge moment for me. Our band even had the chance to create a music video that led to radio play in the area. I was also able to write and produce an entire music album, which was an incredible experience.
