Jeremy Gravelle is the Business Manager at Homecoming at the Resort. He loves to spend time with his wife and kids, play disc golf, and go to concerts to discover new music.

What is your recent promotion?

I was recently promoted from Portfolio Community Administrator to Business Manager at Homecoming at the Resort. I’m grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received from incredible mentors like Stephanie Arriaga, Megan Pearce, Jasmine Huizar, and my manager Brittany Rogers. Special thanks to Brandon Groves and Corey James for the training that prepared me for this role. Now, with the continued support of my GM Brandon Smith and amazing CA’s Tamera and Hannah, I’m excited for what’s ahead!

How do you stay busy outside of work?

Outside of work, I stay busy by spending quality time with my lovely wife, Berenice, and our two little ones, Luna and Theo. Honestly, doing anything with them brings me a kind of joy that’s hard to put into words—it’s the best part of my day.

Every Saturday morning for the past seven years, my dad and I have kept up a tradition of playing disc golf together. It’s something I really look forward to each week—it’s our time to catch up, compete a little, and just enjoy the outdoors.

I also love going to concerts and checking out different breweries when I get the chance. Music and good craft beer are definitely high on my list of favorite ways to unwind!

What is your favorite part about your job?

I actually have a couple favorite parts of my job! First and foremost, it’s the team at Homecoming at the Resort. Everyone here truly makes coming to work enjoyable—they’re not just great coworkers, but genuinely great people.

Another part of the job I really value is being the one to have those tough conversations with residents. It might sound unusual, but there’s something incredibly rewarding about starting off with a difficult conversation and ending it with a handshake and mutual respect. Knowing I was able to help someone and turn the situation around gives me a real sense of satisfaction.

What is your proudest work/non-work achievement?

My proudest work achievement is getting promoted at Lewis and finally setting a clear career path for myself. For a long time, I struggled with figuring out what I wanted to do, and honestly, it took a toll on my self-confidence. I’d see people younger than me with their careers all mapped out, while I was bouncing from job to job trying to find something that truly fit. But within just two weeks of being at Lewis, I knew I had found what I’d been looking for all along. Earning that promotion really solidified it for me—it was the moment I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.

Outside of work, my proudest achievement is being a husband and a dad. I’ve always known I wanted to be a father, even when I wasn’t sure about anything else. From the moment we found out my wife was pregnant to now—nearly four years after our daughter was born—I’m still blown away that I get to live this life with such an amazing wife, daughter, and son. Being a dad is truly better than I ever imagined, and it’s the role I’m most proud of.

Who brings out the best in you?

The person who brings out the best in me is my wife, Berenice. We’ve been together for 8 years, and throughout our entire relationship, she’s always seen the best in me—even during times when I didn’t see it in myself. Her calm demeanor, elegance, and poise are inspiring, but it’s watching her be a mom that truly blows me away. The way she handles everything with such grace motivates me to be a better husband, father, and person every single day.

From the moment I met her, I knew I had found my soulmate. She’s my greatest support system, my inspiration, and without a doubt, the one who brings out the very best in me.

Alexander said, “People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures” to be more mindful of small, consistent choices. Or if you choose to run to problems rather than from problems because you’d rather have a difficult conversation now than have it forever. And last, to congratulate him on his unwavering commitment to being the best husband and father he can be with power and passion to shape his family’s lives for the better.
