Lillian is a foodie, Trifecta Spartan, and Operations Administrator at the Lewis Group of Companies. She approaches each day with the quote attributed to Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She utilizes that mindset to create positive experiences in the workplace and in her life.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy traveling, hiking, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. My happiest moments are spent outdoors, whether atop a mountain or by the beach. There’s something deeply peaceful and reflective about feeling small in the presence of nature’s vast beauty. Recently, I’ve discovered the joy of LEGOS and have been making up for lost time finding the wonder in tiny plastic building blocks.
What have been your greatest challenges?
For a long time, my greatest challenge was myself. I was the type of person who only acted when I felt fully prepared—whether it was advancing in my career or pursuing an audacious personal goal. I was both my greatest obstacle and my fiercest competition. It wasn’t until I shifted my mindset and began embracing the power of “Yes” that true transformation began. Saying “Yes” to self-determined challenges, growth, and stepping out of my comfort zone opened doors to experiences I never imagined.

What's your recent proudest professional or personal achievement?
Last year, I had the privilege of completing the six-month LEAD program at Lewis and earning the Trifecta Spartan title by conquering the 5k, 10k, and 21k races within the same year. It was a transformative and rewarding journey, pushing me to new limits both mentally and physically. I wholeheartedly recommend the LEAD program (and Spartan Races!) to anyone ready to take the next step in their career. The knowledge and camaraderie gained was priceless. Shoutout to my LEAD Cohorts!
What values guide your career path?
I believe in the power of an abundance mindset and the importance of thoughtfulness. The idea that there are ample opportunities for everyone to succeed, and that when one person thrives, we all benefit. Thoughtfulness, to me, is a currency that should be exchanged. Something as simple as a check-in with colleagues or friends can make a difference and have a lasting impact. It’s very easy to get caught up in the day to day and lose sight of what truly matters but I’m fortunate to have accountability partners who help me stay grounded and remind me when I need it most.

Any interesting facts or stories?
I have a bit of a photographic memory, where I tend to recall memories as vivid images or scenes. For instance, if you were to mention the cross streets of your favorite restaurant, I might give you a blank stare, as I’m not great with street names. However, if you describe nearby landmarks, my brain will conjure up a 3D map, almost like Google Maps, guiding me through the streets with arrows. I don’t have full control over this “power,” but it’s fun to surprise people by recalling specific details, like the exact outfit they wore on a particular occasion.
