Robert Freeman is a Billing Administrator in Multi-Family development. He is a lifelong learner and enjoys working out, running, and golfing.

What has your career path looked like?

I started with Lewis as a leasing administrator in RPM when I was fresh out of college. Within 5 months I was promoted to a Community Administrator and then to a Business Manager 6 months after that. After a year and a half as a Business Manager, I moved to corporate as an Accountant in the inventory team. The experience I gained in accounting set me up for my current role in Multi-Family Development.

Best career advice you’ve received?

In my first week with Lewis, I heard a quote that stuck with me “Lewis is big enough that new opportunities are always available, but small enough to get noticed”. Hearing that changed my perspective on what I thought was possible with my career at Lewis. I’ve been very grateful for the opportunities that have been presented.

Any habits you’re particularly proud of?

Using the 2-Minute rule. If any task takes less than two minutes to complete, do it immediately. It allows me to not let small tasks accumulate or fall through the cracks and gives me a quick dopamine boost for finishing a task.

Anything new you’ve learned lately?

Lately I’ve been playing a lot of chess, its been one of the most frustrating games to learn. Every loss is because of your own doing and there is always a lesson to be learned.
