Let’s admit it. Sometimes the wonderful work done by the men and women on an Information Systems team flies under the radar. Most of us probably don’t know much about I.S. beyond the fact that they occasionally come by to install new software, fix your PC or save the day when something inevitably breaks down or goes wrong. And it’s then when their working world and essential skills come into view. And while fixes, installs and upgrades are among I.S.’s general responsibilities, they’re just the tip of the iceberg.

Efficiency, functionality, development and evolution are the middle names of any sharp Information Systems department. While they may work diligently behind the scenes, every now and then their superhero status should be recognized. And today, we’ve picked just one of the many champions on the Lewis team: Joshua Brantuk. He doesn’t wear a cape (at least not at work) but if and when he comes to your rescue his helpful snarkiness and sense of humor will leave an impression. So, before he darts off to save the next don or damsel, let’s meet Joshua.

What's your role on the Lewis team?

My role here on the Lewis team is that of Support Technician. I assist the team and company with a variety of things from cell phone and PC support to RingCentral and many other projects.

What are you most passionate about in your career?

I’d have to say that the answer to this question would be helping out our employees with a personal touch. I enjoy helping others while hopefully being able to make them laugh, smirk, smile… or maybe at least sigh and roll their eyes.

What do you do for fun when you're not at work?

While away from work, some of the things I enjoy are spending time baking and cooking, with banana cake being my favorite thing to bake and chicken oyakodon a favorite meal. I also enjoy playing video games (current obsession is Animal Crossing New Horizons), and definitely keeping up with my family and friends.

What is one recent project you're most proud of?

I’m proud of how I was able to be part of the team to help the company when we had to work on the mass exodus of corporate employees who needed to get ready to work remotely due to the Coronavirus pandemic. While we are still working on some outliers, we’ve accomplished quite a bit in a short time.

What keeps you coming to work at Lewis?

Honestly, it’s the people that I work with that keeps me here. There are so many other fun and unique people here at Lewis, it definitely feels like home.
