A Good Economy, A Great Future
The Lewis Group of Companies has been continuously and actively developing real estate in northern Nevada since 1972, making us well positioned to respond to new real estate opportunities. In Nevada we have benefited from geographic diversification and a favorable economy that is clearly on the road to recovery from the last recession. The driver of this improvement in the economy is significant job growth in northern Nevada, as Tesla and major data centers for Apple and Switch bring high tech jobs to the area. With significant job creation and thousands of new people projected to be moving into the area, we are responding to the growing demand for housing by building our new Harvest at Damonte Ranch apartment community currently under construction in Reno.
Additionally, we are responding to the projected demand for new for-sale houses by purchasing about 130 acres of land in Sparks, which we will have available to sell to home builders within the next year.
Retail development generally follows housing development, so we are actively preparing to develop more retail space in the area.
