- Perform painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs as needed.
- Assist with apartment turnovers and ensure units are in top condition for new residents.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and equipment.
- Collaborate with the property management team and fellow maintenance staff.
Acquire the Necessary Skills and Experience
To succeed as a maintenance technician, you’ll need a mix of technical skills and practical experience. Here are the skills that will set you apart:
- Proven experience in residential maintenance, preferably in upscale apartment communities.
- Strong knowledge of basic maintenance, including drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, and appliance troubleshooting. HVAC experience is a big plus.
