This month’s multi-community candle making workshops in Northern Nevada were an absolute hit, our most popular classes yet! In fact, they were so well-loved that two of our communities asked for a second session just to make sure everyone had a chance to join in on the fun.
Residents rolled up their sleeves to create stunning, hand-poured candles using beautiful and trendy wooden bowls, soy wax, and seasonal fragrance oils that made the entire clubhouse smell heavenly. To top them off, each candle was decorated with a selection of dried herbs and flowers, giving every piece a unique, artisanal look. These candles made perfect gifts, though many residents admitted they planned to keep theirs!
While we waited for the candles to set, the energy stayed high with a lively game of “Name That Tune”, featuring tracks from the “100 Greatest Songs of All Time.” There was no shortage of laughter, enthusiasm, and a little friendly competition. Winners at each community even took home their very own candle-making kit, keeping the creativity going long after the workshop ended.
From the cozy scents to the creative atmosphere, this workshop series brought our communities together in the best way. We can’t wait to bring even more hands-on fun to our residents in the new year!
