What's a constant theme in your life?

Gratitude. I am very blessed by the opportunities I have been given.

How do you stay busy outside of work?

Since my blog post 2 years ago, I’ve really expanded my work with Betesda Orphanage. I have made over 10 trips since then and usually have 15-20 bags of donations, 95% of which come from coworkers here at the office. Before the office’s support, my trips would include just a small bag or two.

Lessons you've learned from the experience?

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the support of my work community, which has taught me to lean on those around me.

How do you stay motivated?

Motivation is liking what I do, so aligning my actions with my values.

What have been your biggest challenges?

I have a hard time putting myself out there, so it’s taken a lot of courage to speak up. I am happy I have since it’s allowed me to make an impact at Betesda.

Any personal mottos you turn to?

Let it go.

Any interesting facts or stories?

I don’t have to ask for donations anymore, so I feel very blessed that the people around me continue to give. My coworkers have become more than coworkers.

Anything else to share?

I hope I can inspire someone with my story.
