Tell us about yourself?

I’m originally from Madrid, Spain, and lived in Switzerland for nearly eight years before moving to the United States in 2011. I am married and the parent of four children. Currently, I serve as the Marketing Coordinator for Lewis Retail Centers, where I help drive marketing strategy and communications for our retail properties.

What drew you to working at Lewis?

My wife has been part of the company for years and has always spoken highly of its ethics, values, and, most importantly, the people who make it such a great place to work.

What's your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is the inherent growth opportunities in the marketing world, where new ideas and trends are constantly emerging. This environment keeps me learning new skills, thinking creatively, and contributing fresh ideas to our department. What makes it even more rewarding is having a direct supervisor who is innovative and encourages others to share their ideas. That kind of dynamic makes work interesting, engaging, and positively challenging. Additionally, the retail department is made up of a team that immediately makes you feel welcomed and part of the group, which adds to the enjoyable work environment.

Best career advice you’ve received?

Be nice to everyone, do not be selfish, and do not think you are above anyone (Philippians 2:3).

What values guide your career and life path?

Respect everyone and treat others as you would like to be treated. Always be kind, acknowledge your mistakes, help those in need, and stay humble.

How do you stay busy outside of the office?

Having four kids is a full-time job on its own. Beyond that, I enjoy playing tennis and the drums, studying the Bible (I’m currently working on articles for future publication), and actively participating in my local church by playing drums and leading Bible studies.

Any interesting facts or stories?

Having lived in three different countries, I’ve had many interesting experiences. A couple of memorable ones: In my early 20s, to learn German, I worked in the restaurant of a hotel in Leissigen, a fairy-tale-like village in Switzerland. Most of the staff were young and spoke English, except the main cook, who spoke Portuguese, so I only learned a little German. I also spent a summer working on a French-speaking farm in La Côte-aux-Fées, which felt straight out of Heidi. Back in Spain, I grew up playing soccer with a few friends who eventually became professional players; suffice it to say, I didn’t follow that career path.

From an Atlético de Madrid fan to a Lakers supporter, Daniel has learned that despite different venues, the richest experiences come from embracing different perspectives, staying humble in every room you enter, and treating every person you meet with genuine respect. Guided by his faith, Daniel approaches both his career and personal life with humility and service at the forefront. Whether you’d like to swap stories about cross-cultural adventures, discuss the creative energy that comes from playing drums or thinking outside the box in marketing, or simply connect over how faith and purpose can shape daily work, Daniel would love to hear from you.
